Joan Bremer works at Rosendin Electric as a Supplier/Subcontractor Program Manager; In addition, she serves as The Grant Making Committee Chairperson for The Rosendin Foundation. She has been a member of NAWIC for 2 years and has been working in construction for 6.5 years.

Why did you join NAWIC?

I learned about this amazing organization from co-workers and my company, as Rosendin is a sponsor of NAWIC.

What has been your favorite event or meeting with NAWIC?

I've really loved all the jobsite walks I've been able to participate in since joining. Because I work on the corporate side of construction, I rarely get the chance to see the actual action of building things. It's pretty neat to be able to see construction sites up close.

Anything else?

NAWIC has been a great place for me to grow my network and I am thrilled by all the wonderful women I have been able to meet. Rosendin has also taken a page from NAWIC's book and we are starting our own construction camp for kids! I really enjoyed being a camp counselor last summer for the Austin's Chapter CAMP NAWIC and I hope to continue my work with the younger generation.
