Ashley Barnes works for Bear Electrical Solutions as a Field Operations Administrator. This is her first year participating with NAWIC and she is on the Board of Directors.

Why did you join NAWIC?

I joined NAWIC to meet like minded women who want to make a change in a male dominated industry. I also enjoy the networking and love the events. I'm here to learn and better myself as a woman in construction and as an individual.

Why do you continue participating?

I continue to participate because of the women. Women who have been in the industry and in NAWIC for 10+ years who help guide me and educate me. But most of all they push me to do better and be stronger.

Anything else?

When I joined NAWIC I lacked self confidence. I have become a self proclaimed successful woman. I can attribute part of that to my time with NAWIC.
