August 2022 Membership Meeting - Operating Leases and Sponsor Appreciation
This month we enjoyed talking to the “OWL” at Daley’s Drywall and Taping.
We heard high school student Sariah Ortega’s experience as the only female participant at SMACNA's Heavy Metal Summer Experience hosted by SVM. Sariah is currently a 16 year old Senior at Gunderson High School. She is also attending a vocational School called SVCTE for electrical Maintenance. She was one of 22 local high school students selected to participate in SMACNA's Heavy Metal Summer Experience. Nationally there were 174 students that completed a 6 week introduction to Sheetmetal and the Pipping trades.
Becky Watson spoke about navigating accounting standards around operating leases.

June 2022 Membership Meeting - Drywall Repair and 2022-2023 Board of Directors Voting
This June we got hands on experience at Expert Drywall. We had fun damaging and repairing drywall!
We also voted on the upcoming Board of Directors which was unanimously approved!

April 2022 Charter Dinner (Membership Meeting)

We were happy to combine the monthly Board of Directors meeting with a fireside chat this month hosted by Shawna Alvarado.
March 2022 NAWIC Silicon Valley WIC Week Bocce Ball Event
To celebrate Women in Construction Week this year, member Kara Hermann organized a great social event at Campo Di Bocce in Los Gatos. The food and company was fantastic.
