Member Spotlight - April Vicchrilli

April Vicchrilli is currently serving our Chapter as Vice President and has been a member of NAWIC for 3 years. She works for Stanford Health Care as a Sr. Project Manager and has worked in the construction industry for 11 years.

What is your favorite event with NAWIC?

My favorite event was the Charter Dinner Missy Cochran and I planned to commemorate a year of missed holidays due to COVID. It was so much fun to brainstorm ideas and then to put on a great party!

What advice do you have for Women who are new in Construction?

I would advise those who are new to construction to work for a small-ish company where you'll be required to work way too much and wear many different hats. As your career progresses, you tend to get more focused and it's more difficult to get exposed to other areas that may interest you.

Anything else you want to share?

I am so glad I got involved with NAWIC! I enjoy all the behind-the-scenes work we have been doing and look forward to being part of a growing chapter! I grew up in Utah and moved to California in 2008 with my husband Sam and one-year-old daughter, Elisabeth. In 2012, my son Asher joined the crew and is the only native Californian in our family. We have enjoyed living in both southern and northern California and have nine moves under our belt. Recently, I've been trying to garden but haven't had much success. I've also learned to quilt and have collected so much fabric it takes up half my closet!
