This month we enjoyed talking to the “OWL” at Daley’s Drywall and Taping.
We heard high school student Sariah Ortega’s experience as the only female participant at SMACNA's Heavy Metal Summer Experience hosted by SVM. Sariah is currently a 16 year old Senior at Gunderson High School. She is also attending a vocational School called SVCTE for electrical Maintenance. She was one of 22 local high school students selected to participate in SMACNA's Heavy Metal Summer Experience. Nationally there were 174 students that completed a 6 week introduction to Sheetmetal and the Pipping trades.
Becky Watson spoke about navigating accounting standards around operating leases.
