We had a great meeting welcoming students and teachers from SVCTE and hearing about the great work they are doing at MetroED to get students ready to work in the trades. The winner from Block Kids presented his creation and did a great job! His project will be entered into the Regional Competition - good luck!

NAWIC in partnership with Walters and Wolf, Burke Williams and Sorensen decorated houses for at-risk teens for Unity Care.
What a great way to start off the NAWIC year with 4 installations!! Welcome new members Angie, Nicole, Kayla and Liz!! We are so excited for this year and the amazing speakers and seminars we have planned! President Cindy did a phenomenal job! Thank you to our community service chairwoman that are collecting canned food for the upcoming holidays and great job to everyone who brought something!!

Two amazing women spoke at our 1st Breakfast meeting this morning and I could not think of a better way to start the day!! These two filled us with their inspiration and knowledge!! Thank you so much for supporting the women in the industry! Thank you Elizabeth and Angie!!!
Presented by Claudine Shimmer “Nourishing our Minds to Accomplish the Bigger Goals”. We looked at our relationship to time and what is at the heart of our goals. We did a meditation exercise where we explored where our self-imposed limitations are and who you want to become. We looked at each person establishing a ritual / daily goal. We also had our special guests from CCOC - a recipient of a scholarship which purchased tools for a Union Contractor. It was great to hear the good work they are doing, for women in particular. Welcome to our newest member Lisa from The Blue Book Building and Construction Network!
